The new high-pressure flexible aluminium tube solution for automotive CO2 air conditioning system.

Piflex® is manufactured and sold by the company PIFLEX P/S. The company is a joint-venture between Hydro and Danfoss. The product is a high-pressure flexible aluminium tube for the use in automotive R744 (CO2) air conditioning - more environmentally friendly than today's R 134a AC systems.

Extensive FEM and CFD modelling as well as internal and external testing have been carried out proving the features of the Piflex® solution.
Piflex® can be supplied with connecting lines according to specific customer requirement in common alloy series (preferable is however EN AW5049).
